This very large Belemnite from Russia has been partially pyritized. A Belemnite is the fossilized internal skeleton of an extinct order of squid-like cephalopods called Belemnitida that existed from the late Triassic to late Cretaceous. This internal structure differentiates them from squids and cephalopods.
