NATURE TRAIL
At The Rock & Art Shop we believe constant interactions between art and nature provide fascinating and meaningful opportunities for learning. We invite you to come experience our evolving network of nature trails—alone or with your family. Wander along our winding trails that weave casually through a variety of native vegetation communities and habitat types.
Mature birch, maple, ash, spruce, pine, and hemlock trees scatter across the woodland providing a leafy green canopy overhead. Wonderful stands of fern blanket the forest floor, lady's slippers sprout up here and there, and brilliant patches of moss and lichens cover trees and rocks. Chipmunks and squirrels dart from tree to tree, and chickadees and blue jays watch as you meander along the trails.
Check in on The Rock & Art Shop's nature trail periodically throughout the summer to see temporary exhibits and installations of local artists' work on display. Are you an artist? Come by and talk with us about your work and perhaps there will be an opportunity for you to exhibit your work on oue nature trail!
